Of course, anything I find isn’t mean to disparage the developers of MM. I’m very tickled pink to be able to use something I was a little familar with (from laser) instead of leaning Vectric (anything new). Also, I may be indicating things that are non-issues and working as MM developers would expect. That’s my disclaimer
On the Tool Library screen, I noticed the vendor name area only allows for a few display characters. I made the popup as narrow as possible and made it as wide as possible for my screen resolution. Even when there is a lot of screen real estate, the text fields are never made any wider. Likewise, when as narrow as possible, there is still real estate that could be used to widen the text fields. Another thing I noticed. I tried in several likely spots and this popup doesn’t allow for adjusting the width of the 3 sub-components of the screen - list of bits, the technical data, and the conceptual drawing of the bit. If panes can’t be made adjustable, I think I would favor the conceptual drawing would be reduced in favor of more textual information. Perhaps allow a person to click on a button to popup a larger conceptual image?
Also, I haven’t done CNC barely at all so I don’t know what I’m about to mention is true or not. Is it true that bits would only have 1mm of flute? It seems too small to me so if that’s the case, does it make sense to put a red border or some visual alarm that a field, ie. “Flute Length” seems likely to be in error? Of course, I may be wrong in my assumption
that 1mm isn’t a reasonable value.
