Hi. When engraving plywood, some places are sometimes burned more than others and these black lines are formed. Do you know what this can cause? thank you for answer
Looks to me like it lost some steps in the vertical directions. That would account for the difference in color.
You can see the ‘nose’ after the failure is not lined up and is smaller where they are supposed to meet. That would also support a loss of steps in that direction.
Does your machine move smoothly in those areas?
Make sure everything is snugged up…

Is that oak plywood, if so it the incomplete laminates under the veneer. seen this 100’s of times in stuff that i do.
I found out that the problem is that the laser passes through one place twice and therefore a deeper line is created. The feed gets stuck on the rail and therefore stays twice in one place. Now I need to find out how to adjust the rails.
