Boolean Assistant (Subtract) in Lightburn 2.0.2

ISSUE: While making a box with Tabs and Slots, utilized the Boolean Weld tool to make tabs from the small Tab box dragging from bottom right to top right. While attempting to make the Slots with the Boolean Subtract tool, dragging from the lower right to the top right, two Slots were produced as expected. However the remaining base objects subtracted the box rather than creating Slots in the box itself. I created new a new box by dragging a shape from the Tool menu as well as a base box for the slots with the same result. I don’t understand why this is happening.

Objective: Use Boolean tools to produce Tabs and Stots.

Process: Base = a rectangle representing a 5mm thick box 10mm x 10mm. I began by dragging a rectangular shape (Tools menu>Ctrl R) to form the box, then dragging a new box by which to make the taps and slots. These were aligned on a line/side of the box.

            Tab base object = a box Width = 20mm x 10.02mm (with kerf).
            Slot base object = a box Width = 20mm x 10.02mm (with kerf).

To obtain the Tabs, clicked the dragged from bottom left to upper right capturing both the Tab box (1st) and then the large side box (2nd). The tabs were created as expected. Utilized the same process to make the Slots on two (2) different boxes. Both repeated attempts resulted in the main box being Subtracted with a box remaining represented by a (length wise) half box remaining.

Thank you for any help that can be provided.

What order did you select the shapes?

For Boolean Subtract, the order is “Object 1 minus Object 2”, where Object 1 is the first thing you select, and Object 2 is the second.
