Again asking a questions about Boolean operations. I asked a similar question back in Nov 2023 and have had success since then but this one is causing me to scratch my head. I’ve tried everything I know to resolve but am not having success.
I’ve attached the file. It’s a u-shaped piece that I’ve been able to resolve the other sides but the bottom edge stumping me

.
I looked at your file. If you zoom all the way in you will see that your boxes aren’t touching the line. Move them up so they intersect and it will work.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that - even using Dock Objects Upward with padding at 0.00. It still doesn’t allow the shapes to be merged or welded. I’ve zoomed in as close as able and the pieces appear to be touching. I’ve even tried them on a different layer to see more clearly. From what I’m able to see, they are touching.
Using the dock tool didn’t work for me either. I moved them manually. Here is your fixed file.

It appears that your lines are not parallel. It is a very tiny amount. If you zoom all the way in to the left most box and large shape you see a gap. As you move to the right the gap gets smaller with each box.
Do you have snap to grid turned on? I can’t imagine how they would get off by this little amount unless it was turned off. The measure tool wont even read it because it’s resolution is .1 degree. The bottom line of the boxes read at 0 degrees and the bottom line on the large shape reads -0 degrees.
Sorry to step in.
In this case you can dock down and then dock up.
Else define your control-arrow increment to 0.0001 and do manually.
Or maybe increase object snap distance value (I don`t like that one).
.
Edit:
Just to add other way, you can also enter values in the fourth decimal place which, although they don’t appear in the box after you press enter, are assumed and applied to the shapes.

Thank you all for reporting and digging in further. I am seeing issues with this flow and file, so have generated a report for further investigation.
Appreciate your assistance Tim!
