Boolean not working

I’m trying to make the boolean with the letters and the box, but when I select both, the boolean is not available

The shapes must be closed and your letters must be a group or you must perform the boolean operation individually with each letter.

A little more information may help.

If you go to the Tools menu, are the boolean operators or boolean assistant grayed out and unavailable?

Are your letters individual shapes or is it an actual font based text? If it is individual shapes, you’ll have to perform the boolean operations on only 2 at a time.

Are the box shapes closed? Again can’t do a boolean operation on open paths.

Just some things to consider.

Hi Willian, have you found a solution to the problem?

The letters are in a group

Boolean are grayed and unavailable. The letters is a track from a logo image. Its closes. Even trying with individual letters or groups, I can’t do the boolean

Sorry for the delay, I only managed to respond now. I haven’t resolved it yet

Let’s handle it right away can you send the file?

The machine is at the company, I’m at home, I can only send it tomorrow, sorry

I use a 130w gweike lc1390n, I did some tests today, without changing the settings too much, I tried cutting mdf varying speeds and power, at 60mm/s with 100% power it didn’t cut 6mm of mdf, what do I need to configure on it? or in lightburn?

No problem, just send it tomorrow, either the whole file or just the parts you want welded together. How we can do the task through we go together tomorrow.

Do you have discord or any other easier means of communication? if possible

I don’t know the machine but 130watt is a big animal.
100% Power is not a good idea for a long time, you need to find out which mA is specified as a maximum of your machine and then stay under it.
Do you have an ampemeter on the machine?

I’m not quite with you what you mean by this, I, we are “only” normal user of this fine forum discussing laser machines and LightBurn and helping each other.

Yes, the machine has an amperemeter. I find communication on the forum difficult, but it’s a matter of habit hahahaha

… it’s only at first  Welcome to the forum btw.

Most problems are solved here by many different users and the Lightburn people themselves.
Important is to ask the right questions and provide the necessary relevant information.

If you haven’t done it, I strongly recommend that you make some material tests, you can use it from Lightburn or use your own.
I have a machine with approx. 30-40% of your laser, to cut 3mm MDF I use approx. 25-30mm/s in speed with approx. 30-40% Power (12-14ma), it should only get you an idea of where you approx. can start.

But now it gets too late for me, it is 1 o’clock at night - good night.

Tomorrow I’m going to do those material tests. Sorry about the time, I’m from Brazil, it’s still early here hahahaha. Thank you very much for your help so far
