Boolean subtracted image

Is it possible to ungroup objects once you have used boolean assist to subtract parts. I had two trees around a circle that I subtracted outer edge with boolean and I want to ungroup and use tree in subtracted shape for another job.

It might be a bit easier to envision the goal if you share some illustrations or images of what you are working with. Help us “see” what you are after, and we might have some suggested workflows.

I would but I already deleted the ornament and tried something different. I just wanted to be able to use a boolean subtracted picture on something else. But once you use the boolean tool, it seems to be pretty much one object and can’t be separated or ungrouped. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but I am still not following what you intend to accomplish from the wording. Do you have a finished example of the goal you can share? Please show what you mean by “boolean subtracted picture”.

I was originally trying to subtract the edges from the circle. But after I boolean subtracted the trees, I couldn’t just fill the trees in. The whole circle would fill. So I thought if there was some way to safe the subtracted trees I could add to new circle to fill just trees.

Perhaps make a duplicate of the trees prior to applying the boolean. This will retain you a copy for you to do as you please.
