I have done the CMD >ipconfig and entered in my ip address off by 100 on the last three digits. I can not get the laser to connect via ethernet. The cable is ran from the computer to the laser. Any have suggestions?
Is your computer connected to the internet also? By WIFI?
If your computer is running a WIFI adapter and an ethernet adapter you will need to take some extra steps to ensure they each operate in separate subnets.
There is a comprehensive guide here by Thunder Laser covering this scenario and even if you are not using a Thunder Laser or a Ruida controller it’s all applicable information as far as the network setup goes:
Are you trying to connect to the Ruida or the Trocen?
Trocen for Boss Laser HP3655
Have you followed this guide? Ethernet Connection (Trocen) - LightBurn Documentation
You may also want to connect your laser to your LAN network, rather than directly from PC to Laser, if a direct connection is unsuccessful.
So when I exicute the CMD and get the IP address for laser and I put that up address in the Laser and in the Lightburn Software it still does not work. It finds it on cmd but the software and the controller will not communicate. I have tried direct connect throught ethernet on 2 computers and it will not work.
