Boss Laser not cutting file with rotary setup

i don’t know what I’m doing wrong i got it setup for rotary with a pi burn 3.0, it does framing and rotates but does not cut the file i think there is a step I’m missing i just don’t know… any help is appreciated

You’ll have to clarify what you mean here… No laser, the job doesn’t run or ?

basicly i set up the file to engrave the tumbler and it will frame the area but when i hit play it does nothing, i dont know if im missing something in the steps or the file is not working with the boss laser…
i dont know what else to say.

Does the machines console show any kind of error?

This sounds like it has some kind of slop error… and the controller isn’t letting it run.

Does this machine have a Ruida controller?

If it’s not a problem, post a screen shot of the layer and if possible the .lbrn2 file so we can examine it…

im not sure what the controller is your talking about but i have checked all the dip switches on the step controller, still frames the project but does not engrave. normally when it gets sent to the laser the project shows up on the screen and fires off but this one does not show up on the screen like it should almost like it doesnt like the file but there is no error showing in lightburn or on the laser so im at a stumpped loss…

Does it run, just not lase?

Assuming you are using start?

Did you try using send?

You then can run it from the machines console.

i had the luck of the irish today.
i did all the set up by the manual and turned on the rotary.
input the settings as required still no luck.
then turned off rotary switch
and for giggles wanted to see if it would work with out the rotary turned on,
bobs your uncle it worked
engraved backwards the flipped it around in lightburn and burned normal
still have to work out some kinks but now i know what to do and what not to do
thanks for your input
