I have a design that has a top part and a bottom part and a not connected space between the 2 parts t insert a name but I tried using union but it will only connect 1 of the parts how do I connect the other part. I’ve looked but can’t find a video or any instructions, please help!
I
watched the video but it doesn’t show how to connect 3 pieces together that can’t be grouped because the are open pieces. Look at the bottom of this attachment. I put a name between the dogs top half and bottom half with the lines for the name touching the upper and lower lines but I’ve tried union and I’ve tried intersection neither will connect them at both the top and the bottom which is what I need to happen.
To connect the name in the middle you need to group the top and bottom parts before using the Boolean operation. That’s what I did here.
So there is no way I can make the letters attach to the other parts so they all cut connected?
I misunderstood your question and was changing my response when you responded.
I have done that but it doesn’t work. It only connects either the top or the bottom, not both.
If it will join to either one individually, it should join to both if they are grouped. Perhaps upload the .lbrn2 file and I will see if there is a problem with it.

It works fine. This is on the one that didn’t have a name. It was already grouped by you. I place the text and size it so it crosses the lines.
Then I perform a Boolean Union and this is the result.
The reason the other ones didn’t work is because the text didn’t fully cross the line of the Angel. In this one the A crosses but the X doesn’t. It can’t union if they don’t cross each other.
