Yesterday files aren’t saving to lightburn or take forever… program runs fine and can upload any file… currently using trial version
Are you by chance saving to a network share or a cloud sync folder? If so, try saving to a normal folder and see if that makes a difference.
Are you saving anywhere special? Are you running backup or cloud-sync software on the folders you’re saving to that could be interfering with LightBurn saving them?
So yesterday purchased license key and didn’t make difference… so got on with Apple Care and figured out it will save in safe mode… so I’m still stumped… they said maybe reinstall Monterey OS…will I need to re enter license key again or will lightburn recognize my IP address
Just saving in download folder
It will let me save a file that’s already been uploaded…. When I upload a new design and mess with it to Save as a new name it won’t let me Save As… I have to ESC out because it freezes
This almost sounds like a Mac permission issue but doesn’t make sense that you can save to older .lbrn file format but not .lbrn2. Are you having this issue with any other application?
Maybe check the app’s permission to access files/folders.

As for your license question. You will need to re-enter your license but won’t have any license management issues as that license will still be tied to your computer.
There is absolutely zero difference in LightBurn between a licensed copy and a trial, with the exception of the time limit. No difference - exact same software.
And I agree, this does seem like a weird permission issue.
Ok so what I figured out was when saving a file it wants to save to desktop and that’s when it freezes… so before naming it I have to select downloads and all is well…. Is there a way to have it automatically save to downloads without having to click where it goes??

Can we get an eraser tool icon soon… so it would be a lot easier editing a file you want to tweek on your own??? And loved that video with the Australian guy!!!
I thought LightBurn defaulted to the last referenced folder. Is that not happening for you?
No… what it did was when we put the computer in safe mode…( not sure what that is)… it would save to desktop… which really isn’t where I want it to go… not in safe mode … it freezes save as…. So still not sure why it freezes save as to desktop… what it boils down to is that I don’t want to save to desktop anyway… so before choosing save as … I click download folder then hit save as and everything is good…… note… my MacBook Air saves fine in desktop….
Per Apple:
Safe mode may help you resolve or isolate problems that you’re having with your Mac.
When you start up in safe mode, your Mac prevents some software, such as startup items, from loading, and it performs a check of your startup disk. Your Mac may take longer to start up because of the check. - Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode design to be used for troubleshooting, not everyday use. Is there a reason you are entering Safe Mode and trying to run an application when using this computer? Sounds like there is something else going on with this computer that need to be addressed.
I mean, I can give you the icon, sure. I have no idea what you want it to do, because you haven’t described that part. You can already erase nodes and lines in Edit Nodes.
