Bringing License up to date

Hi all,

I would be grateful for some help with the renewal process and check I am doing it correctly.

I’ve had my license for a long time at this point and with Lightburn working well for what I needed my my updates expired a number of years ago. Now with a new machine I want to maximise its potential and bring everything up to date.

Am I correct in my understanding of the process? With my updates having expired in 2021 I should purchase the 1 year update x5 to bring everything up to date?

Many Thanks

I believe you only have to renew x1 to get one more year of free updates.
It’s a bit illogical to renew the years passed, because there was a time that will be cheaper to buy a new license.

Mike,

It did used to be that way, but it was changed a number of years ago, and now you only need to purchase 1 year of updates, and you will get updates for one year from the date of that purchase.

Thanks both, that has helped clear things up.

Many Thanks

This is like starting over with buying a fresh new license.

You are going to be stunned with what you did not have. :hugs:

If my memory serves me right, I stopped renewing the license in version 1.4… I renewed when version 2.0 came out and didn’t have to pay for previous renewals.

I only paid the renewal fee for a license that expired more than a year ago (which is not the same if it’s renewed before that date).
