The black lines/shape will not engrave/fill.
I have taken the shapes outside of image and checked to see if they are ok in Preview. No problem. I put them back into the complete file and it won’t fill.
Is there some way to have the program check for openings in lines and c lose them or at least let me see what the problem is?
Push the “Show me” button in the dialogue. That should highlight the open shapes in question
Edit->Select Open Shapes Set to Fill will reveal those shapes
You may be able to close open shapes that are otherwise well-formed by selecting the shape and going to Edit->Close Path. This requires that the open shape only have one broken section.
If the start and end nodes of the open shapes are farther apart, you may be able to close by selecting shape, then Edit->Close selected paths with tolerance. Again, the shape must be broken at a single section for this to work.
I’m suspecting the outline is several segments. You can ungroup them and click different areas of the outline. The dancing ants will show individual segments and where they stop. You can find where two of them meet and select 2 and do the auto join. Repeat process until the entire outline is one piece. Do this with both inner and outer outlines.
Thank you. Yes I done that. The drawing was done in segments which made it a pain to begin with.
I checked and rechecked with making image larger. Finally got all of them.
I copied your instructions.
Thanks again
