Business logo from LB to word?

Hello everyone. :wave: So first off I’m not as savvy with computers as I probably should be. So my challenge is probably a very easy one to fix. 100w r&b omtech. HP laptop running windows 10. Open office for my word doc.
So I’ve made a logo In Lightburn.
But not I can’t seem to convert it so I can then use it in a Word doc. So I could make business cards or other things.
What’s the trick to converting from lbrn to like png, jpeg. Something that I can use I word documents.

Thanks yall.
Cal

For something like a logo it would be preferable to save this as a vector file type like SVG.

I don’t know if Open Office natively supports SVG import but I do believe they have plugins that will support it.

It should import PNG images without a problem.

To export SVG:

  1. select relevant objects for export
  2. File->Export
  3. pick relevant file type and name for exported file

To export PNG:

  1. select relevant objects for export
  2. Edit->Convert to Bitmap
  3. File->Save Processed Bitmap
  4. Pick relevant file name and include file type extension in name (e.g. image.png)

Note that you can use right click on the select objects to achieve steps 2 and 3 as well.

I’ll caution that LightBurn is not an ideal tool for creating images as you have essentially no control over color and very little control over rendering of the image.

Thanks, I believe that worked. I really should just buy the word program. But im just cheap these days.

Thanks again Cal

I wouldn’t sweat it. If OO works for you then keep at it. I honestly think it’s a problem that Word has a near universal hold of that program space.
