I treid many times to get the camera calibrated but it does not go well. The lens is calibrated and there is not much distortion but i can not get a wider and higher view in the workspace so i can not see my full honeycomb while in the live view it is perfectly vissible. I did the old calibration and the new experimental with the apriltags. as you can see the engravingf is also nowhere near the real place bit biggest problem is the cut off view. Any suggestions?
Lens calibration is not that critical. Did you repeat the alignment step a few times? This is the key.
Yes i did in the past but just found out that there is a combination that works: first the new tag style camera lens calibration and then a new camera alignment (had to cut the patern withes sides to get close to borders).
Now this seems fixed for the first time after many many treis with the old system.
I think i understand why i am not seeing more, seems like workspace is only showing from 0 coordinates, i would like to see a bit wider view so i can see wath is just out of the max coordinates.
It was perfect , same workpiece same height etc. stil there but after rebooting the placing is totally off. Any suggestions?
Export the settings after calibration, such that you can import it once it gets off.
