Camera Calibration Issues: Overlay Misalignment and Blurry Multi-Picture Overlays

I installed a camera on my laser head and successfully calibrated it! After a restart, everything works great—almost. However, I’ve noticed a couple of issues:

  1. Small Rectangle Overlay Issue
My camera is mounted about 150mm to the right of the center of my laser head. Because of this offset, when I place a rectangle directly in the middle under the laser head and update the overlay, the laser head doesn’t move to account for the camera’s position. Instead, it takes a picture immediately. This results in an overlay that is 150mm too far to the right.
To get the correct overlay, I have to manually move the rectangle 150mm to the left. Only then do I get the area directly under the laser head shown accurately in the overlay.
  2. Multiple Pictures for Larger Rectangles
When working with larger rectangles that require multiple pictures, the process doesn’t work properly. It seems like there’s no delay between moving the laser head and taking a picture, so the images turn out blurry.
To fix this, the process should include pauses, such as:
  • Move to position
  • Pause for 1 second
  • Take a picture
  • Pause for another second
  • Move to the next positionIf the software added these pauses, everything would likely work perfectly.

Hi
what is your laser model? your camera model? version of firmware and version of LightBurn?
