Camera is blurry

Please let me know what I am doing wrong on this camera calibration.

Here is a video link it is a little long but shows my exact steps during the calibration process.

I do have a few questions.

Is this a wide angle lens?
I used the default settings and the camera did not focus.
What can we rule out as being the cause of the issue? Is this strictly operator error?

I think the lighting could be improved a little bit my wife was holding my phone at different times to see if that made a difference.

My laser is : MF2028-100 - 100W CO2 LASER ENGRAVER CUTTING MACHINE WITH 20’’ X 28’’ WORKING AREA
My camera is: 8MP LightBurn Camera (4K-W) 85 Degree

Often times cameras are shipped with a clear plastic coating on the lense. Did you check to see if there is such a coating on your camera?

Good idea it had a lense cap. I didn’t notice it but i will double check. Was your camra that blurry too?

Yes, when installed. I found the membrane pretty quickly.

If it’s not a lens cover, check that the lens is properly focused. From memory I believe you should be able to rotate the lens housing to adjust focus. If it’s not that, there should be a similar mechanism that allows for focus adjustment. It’s likely easier to do this using a camera app rather than doing it within LightBurn.

Yes rotating the camera did the trick for me.
