I am running two lasers, one with the official lightburn camera and one with a generic usb camera, similar in size and style to the lightburn camera. Both worked good in 1.7, but when I switched to 2.0 they were both lagging like crazy. Doing a background picture would take almost a minute before it responded, the camera window was very jumpy and laggy to watch. Downgraded back to 1.7 restored both cameras to functionality, but now the generic camera disconnects as soon as I start the engrave. I have to unplug and plug it back in to make it work again. Anyone else had something similar happen? Did I need to just do a camera calibration with 2.0 since there was some changes with the calibration system? Haven’t tried switching back to 2.0 to see if that fixes the generic’s disconnects, as it is still better to just reconnect rather than the lag.
You can change the framerate in 2.0. So I guess it was only a settings issue.
Oh? Maybe I will update again and look for that. See if it also fixes the disconnect issue. Though for that one it seems to be a little more irregular than I first thought, so maybe just a coincidental failing of a cheap camera at the same time as I updated and downgraded.
The disconnect could also be caused by a bad usb cable or a usb hub that is out of bandwith.
Found the fps setting in 2.0, that seems to have fixed that problem. Well see tomorrow, when I am running stuff again, if the connection issue with the generic cam will fix itself, but I do plan on replacing it with a better camera soon anyway. Thanks for the help.
Ran for several hours so far this morning without a disconnect on the generic usb, so something strange going on somewhere between upgrading, downgrading and upgrading again, but no matter, everything seems to be working good now with 2.0, so I am happy.
