Can you Help me ?

Ubuntu’s Gstreamer version is 1.24.2:

dpkg -s gstreamer1.0-plugins-base
Package: gstreamer1.0-plugins-base
Status: install ok installed
Priority: optional
Section: libs
Installed-Size: 2455
Maintainer: Ubuntu Developers ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com
Architecture: amd64
Multi-Arch: same
Source: gst-plugins-base1.0
Version: 1.24.2-1ubuntu0.1
Replaces: gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad (<< 1.15.1)

The webcam works, I get a camera image with Cheese app

I have the EXACT same problem … and I also used Cheese to confirm it works.

I cannot get the inbuilt webcam to be displayed in the config … although it lists all the cameras attached.

I just tested and LightBurn-Linux64-v1.7.03.AppImage allows me to calibrate the cameras. It’s the installed version from the LightBurn-Linux64-v1.7.03.run that cannot see cameras.

I also added my user to the video group.

I came here to post the same answer: it works perfectly using the AppImage. I’m using an old smartphone with the DroidCam app (I threw away my old webcam, thinking it was incompatible since it only showed a black screen). However, I’m using Linux Mint, which is said to have compatibility issues with GTK, but with the AppImage, it’s working flawlessly.
