getting a bit fed up with this now. tried three different cameras each with resolutions greater than 8 mp. when i set up the cameras in lightburn the only resolution the software uses for the overlay is 640 x480 . all the cameras set up correctly but the resulting overlay is ridiculously pixelated. I have read loads of the same experiences on the lightburn forum . is there a problem with the software. If i take a snapshot with the camera software in windows the resolution is fine. I have even tried setting the camera very close to the bed of the machine, and still the resolution is bad. ITS NOT OUT OF FOCUS, ITS PIXALATED because of the 640/480 resolution Lightburn imposes
Please save a screen capture in BMP format, change the extension to .txt and upload it from your computer. I’d like to see what you’re seeing.
The camera firmware can contribute to low resolutions being selected. Are any of the three cameras LightBurn cameras? Any naming or branding on the cameras may help.
Which operating system are you running on your HP computer?
Is there a blue plastic insert inside the USB port where the camera is plugged into the computer?
Thanks for your input and quick reply.
Seems its sorted . Dont ask me how. I just thought i would have one last try with an old Logitech HD camera i found at work. Pluged it in and Ha Ho 1920x1080 resolution . So i think your right about the firmware interfering with some cameras.
Anyway all is well that ends well
Thanks for your help…Great Software by the way
hey there,
got a similar problem. I got this Webcam and i only get a 800x600 resolution in the camara lens kalibration tool. When using YAWCam i can set the resolution to 8mpx but in LB i only get 800x600.
I already tried changing the settings from standard to custom camera capture settings with the same results.
Also when im using Manycam to “create” a virtual webcam with my webcam as source, i can get the full resolution in LB
Go to Settings and check the Camera Capture System. Using Custom Capture System may allow the highest available resolution to be used. Not all cameras will work with Custom, however.
