I’ll start this off with - I’m a Linux User. I know at one point the preview didn’t look like this. I went through a the full calibration on my Polar without any weird bugs like this. Update Overlay works fine - much to my surprise. All the previous work I put in earlier is still good. I’ve been away from the shop for a bit. System updates took me to 1.6.
When I open the lid, you get a better view of what the distortion is. The image is duplicated on both halves in a striped format.
There is so much jank in the Linux camera subsystem it’s a wonder it works at all.
I’d say if the workspace image looks OK, then ignore the shattered preview image and move on.
Speaking of which, you may want to try the latest 1.7 Release Candidate. The camera doesn’t work at all in Manjaro (and, likely, Arch) after installing the .run file, but is fine with the .AppImage file. I have no illusion of ever knowing why …
