Hi all. My camera are in “status: connecting” and never connects. The camera worked yesterday for alignment overlay. Windows 11 also sees the cameras and the camera app can take photos and videos. If I switch to another camera that I used before and removed it and re-add it in windows; the same issue continues; works in windows 11 but not lightburn.
I have tired turning it off and back on again; laser and windows, changed usb ports that the camera was plugged into to another one. I tried another camera.
A little bit of Column A and a little bit of Column B.. Column C is Way out.
The first thing to check is if another Windows App is greedily hoarding the camera. This can include browser apps.
The quirk with USB ports is that they’re first-come first-served… until they disconnect.
The second thing to check is system permissions. You may have to tell the operating system that you’d like to let LightBurn use your camera. (Step 3 Linked Below)
Windows will silently ‘update’ itself in the background and this may cause system settings to revert. I’ll go dig up some helpful links.
