Can anyone recommend a decent laser?

I have a Sculpfun icube 10W where i have had issue after issue and now barely fires and is only week old, this is my second as my first one just stopped fireing all together.

Im going to be returning it i think - can anyone recommend a laser with a protection box or sheild around the 10w mark? nothing majorly expensive.

Thank you,
Chris

I have been involved in buying two 20 watt Longer Ray5 machines, both of which run very well. I also have an Eleksmarker 5.5 W machine, it is 5 years old but still runs quite well. (But we built the box ourselves).

I think there is always a certain amount of luck involved when you buy something online. But there are some manufacturers/dealers who have a better reputation than others, I personally have good experiences with OMT.
Try sending an inquiry to the dealer you choose before buying, and see if and how the response is. It should also be remembered that the price is often related to the quality in some way. I have been (so far) lucky with all the machines I have or have had.

Hello, I have been using an Eleksmaker 2.5W for 4 years.
Two months ago I evolved to a machine which according to my main criteria must be perfectly secure (I have a cat which needs to control all my work).
I opted for the Creality Falcon 2 Pro 22W (400x400, air assist, smoke extraction)
This machine is capable of cutting a thickness of 10 mm into a single pass (settings and tests to be done according to the material), it cuts parts from 2 mm to 6 mm fine as lace, it is also capable of engraving on Stainless steel knives blades.
It is three months since I test it and I am perfectly satisfied on the practical and functional level, the power of 22W is a good compromise for fine engraving work and standard cutting.
The 10 mm cutting thickness is sufficient for me because I cut the upper thicknesses with my CNC.
I hope I helped.

Today I’ve ordered the Mecpow X3 Pro 10W Laser from BestBuy. Upgrading from a 4.2 J-Tech Photonic.
Only 219.99 on sale from 289.99. I feel it is a great deal and after watching YouTube Reviews feel very comfortable with my decision.
