Hopefully you guys can help me out once again. I have three Atomstack lasers and have not had any significant issues in close to 2 years. I’m very happy about that. One laser uses an M50 laser module [10w output]. I would like to possibly upgrade that laser to the M100 laser module which is 20W output - by replacing the M50 laser module with the M100 laser module.
Can I just simply switch them out? What is the power input of the M50 and the power input of the M100? I asked this to find out whether or not I need to change power adapter. Hopefully I can simply switch the laser modules without any additional requirement.
Please let me know if I can simply switch them out or if there’s something additional that I need to do.
I’ve emailed Atomtack and have not heard back. So I’m reaching out here.
I believe the M100 is a 24V laser module whereas the M50 is a 12V module. At a minimum tht would need to be accounted for.
The product description on Atomstack’s site seems to indicate that a dedicated power supply is provided as well as possibly some adapter boards. As long as you’re able to power the laser module this should work. Note that you may need to do some cable routing and adjust clearances if the laser module dimensions differ from your existing module.
