Can I get color on Pmags with my Creality Falcon 2 40w laser?

I have a Creality falcon 2 40w and I want to get some tan colors on some Pmags can I with the laser I have or will I need a fiber laser and if so, how many watts.

You’ll need a fiber laser. You don’t need much power, 20 watt fiber will be fine, but you’ll eventually want more power if you’re going to be doing metals, etc. in the future.

I thought pmags were made of plastic?

Proprietary glass filled nylon, I believe. The new Tmags are probably a polycarbonate blend.

I have a huge pile of PMAGs laying around and have Cerakoted them successfully but haven’t tried to lase any yet. If you’re even considering it, I’d guess You’ve got quite a few bashers laying around. Give it a go. A conservative material test can easily be covered with spray paint if the look doesn’t work out.
