Can I save and load custom shapes / patterns

Hi, total newby here (<1 month).
I want to be assemble some standard cut patterns, be able to save these for including in future projects.
For example, I may have several different panels that I want to cut and these have standard box fan shape/pattern to cut that consists of 4 mounting holes and a matrix of air holes.

Can I group and save that box fan pattern layout for future use in other projects?

Yes, you can. I personally save large templates as “normal” project files in a special directory, but there is no obstacle to saving them in your art library as well.

Keep in mine you need to import them to lightburn if you wish to keep the existing artwork.

Thanks for the answers. To summarise, the solution from your answers is:

  • Create a special dir e.g. standardshapes
  • design the custom shape / pattern
  • save this as a standard lightburn project in the special dir

When wanting to use the custom shape / pattern in the future, import it into the project (Ctrl-I).

That’s all working well for me. Thanks for your help.
