I have a 60W CO2, it has a 12mm D x 50.8 focal length. It cuts 3mm birch ply great! Can I swap out to a different focal length lens to cut thicker material? Thanks in advance.
Sure, if you can find one for your machine. You should upgrade your profile, it says you have an led type.
I have a 4" (101.6mm) lens for thicker cuts… it has about a 10mm depth of focus. 12mm seems rather small, I think mine is 20mm and many K40s are about 18mm. Might want to be sure.
