Can I unplug my computer after the burn is uploaded to the laser?

My Xtool D1 Pro has a memory card. Once the progress bar is gone in Lightburn, can I unplug my computer from the laser without interrupting the burn?

Isn’t it easiest to make a small test file and test whether it can be done? You do not even need to start the laser diode itself for this test.

I just don’t want to “break” anything by doing that; I’ll give it a shot

Unlikely you’ll physically break anything, but using Bernd’s suggestion is prudent.

What may happen is the controller board in your laser might detect the communication disconnect and E-stop (mine does). There is however the chance that if your programming is running from the memory card it may not care.

As far as I can see, your Laser machine has no “independent” control system built in. That is, you do not have the option to control the machine without an external software such as LightBurn or those from X-tools for example.
In this case, I don’t think you can “disconnect” LightBurn and run your project.

That makes sense
