Can not Remove Devices table entries from Laser Window - Help

Downloaded and Imported xTool’s D1 Pro Device table enter. It apparently has become corrupted. Importing a newly downloaded copy helps to resolve the problem. Wanted to get rid of the first copy by selecting enter and pressing the Remove button. Nothing happens! I tried various things, up to uninstalling Lightburn downloading a new copy, and reinstalling it. The corrupted entry is still there! :disappointed_relieved: How do I get rid of the entry?

The trouble is that when you restart Lightburn, this corrupted device is sometimes chosen as the active device again and has a very similar name as others in the Devices list.

BTW When I reinstalled Lightburn, it did not ask for a license key again. So, uninstalling Windows 10 only partially cleans things up. Any way to do that short of reinstall of O/S?

Thanks for any insight,
Al

I went looking for this. I’m uncertain what this is or where it can be found. Please provide a link so I may look as well.

What are you observing that brings you to this conclusion?

We rarely advise doing this.

Yes, please don’t do this. It just adds steps to the diagnostic process.

Thank you for your quick response!

xTool’s D1 Pro Device entry can be found as part of the first step of xTool process “Use LightBurn to Operate xTool D1 Pro.” The link is:
https://support.xtool.com/hc/en-us/articles/7317000221591-Use-LightBurn-to-Operate-xTool-D1-Pro
I followed the entire process outlined in this document originally and then again after reinstalling Lightburn.

Second Question.
It worked fine for about the first two hours of laser use. Then the problem started and never stopped until after I reinstalled Lightburn and imported a new copy of xTool-D1ProV3.lbdev. and I imported this new version into the devices table. So something must have been wrong with original device setting. If a select the original setting device does not work again.

Fourth comment
The link does seem similar to the link you supplied (thank you). I will need another day to verify that the Y axis value is wrong. I will get back to you on that.

Is there a way to remove the extra devices in the Devices table?

JohnJohn,
I did edit the original device that was entered into my devices table, and the Y axis was indeed too big (400 mm), as suggested by rlphwh22’s message in the link you suggested. However, when I tried that device setup the grid changed OK but is still framing upside down. And I still cannot remove that profile when I press to select it and click the Remove button. It is always the first set when starting up Lightburn.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help so far.
Al

Is it selected as the default device profile?

Just guessing…

:smile_cat:

I will check. Thank you.
I did not think of that since I did not make it the default. But it was the first device Imported and I presume Lightburn made it the Default by default and still guessing you can’t remove the Default device until you make another device the Default. Hopefully yes! Will try.

Thank you again,

The Origin for the xTool D1 and D1 Pro is top left on the screen and rear-left on the engrave bed. Having this set incorrectly in Device Settings in LightBurn will cause the job to be reversed along the axis where the position of the origin is reversed (or opposite).

I would like to thank [jkwilborn] and [JohnJohn] for their help. It was solved when it was pointed out that it was the default device. As such it can not be deleted or replaced. I did not see that anywhere in Lightburn notes. Made another device the default device and original one could be deleted. That you both.
