Need some advice. I am new to the forum and fairly new to laser engraving.
I have an Atomstack X7 pro. Had it about a year now. I have probably 4 to 5 hours of burn time on it. Been very happy with the results so far. I recently updated my Lightburn to version 1.4.04. Since that time I have had trouble with the laser. I used to be able to cut through 3mm plywood in one pass with 125 MM speed and 100% power. It is a 10 watt output diode. Now I can’t even cut through with those settings at 4 passes. Seems like I’m no longer getting full output. Could the software upgrade have anything to do with it? I wouldn’t think so, but it was a very abrupt change in performance.I considered possibly running the laser at 100% might shorten the life of it, but it hasn’t been used at that setting that often.
Anybody have any Ideas that might help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hello, I had an identical problem. You have to change the parameter of the device S max to 1000 for a 100% laser. Good cut.
I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the advice
Worked!!!
Thanks again for the advice.
So much to still learn. appreciate it and happy holidays.
question if i may
Once you upgraded lightburn, did you have to add the device again into your LIghtburn?
And change lightburn settings?
if so. What windows version are you running and do you have any antivirus in your computer=?
