I’m trying to find a way to have a Starting Point in the DFX files I receive from a graphic designer that uses Adobe Illustrator and converts the files to DFX. I know I can add a starting point in Lightburn but these files have about 50 parts on them and it would save me a lot of time.
Thanks
Dave
Hi there,
It’s not possible to set the starting point directly in Adobe Illustrator, and that information also can’t be stored in a DXF file. Think the fastest way is to just import the file (Ctrl+I) in lightburn set the starting point and than cut it or save it to controller.
There’s no need for a designer using Illustrator to convert/save a file to a DXF format. Lightburn imports Illustrator files perfectly.
Thank you for getting back to me!
I will have to try that, Thank you!
