I’m trying to rerun a job, but only one layer from the Ruida controller. Is it possible to turn off the layers and only have say, a cut layer run again from the controller?
Specifically, I’m cutting an 8th inch sheet of birch with three layers. On the last layer, red, which is cutting, it did not cut all the way through. I want to rerun it, but just want run the red layer only. I can’t find a way to turn off the other two layers on the Ruida Controller.
Not knowing which Ruida controller you have makes it difficult be specific.
With that in mind: my KT332N console lets me set the power levels for each layer of a job, so I could edit all the layers I don’t want, set their Max & Min powers to zero, then run the whole job again while watching the machine retrace all the geometry I don’t care about with the laser dark and light up only on the single layer I want.
A quick glance at the RDC6445 manual suggests it has an equally awkward user interface for layer power control.
So, basically, while you can do that, you probably don’t want to.
