I’m doing an engrave layer and a score layer, and I’m new to Lightburn. In my CAD software I can save operations off into their own Gcode files, I was wondering if I could do the same here. It would make me less nervous about doing my beginning projects. thanks
You can save gcode by pushing the “Save gcode” button in Laser window. Whatever would be otherwise sent to the laser with the Start button will otherwise be saved to file. So all layer output settings, cut selection option, optimization settings, etc. are in effect for what is saved.
you can prolly turn off youput to all but one layer, then save gcode
I was thinking along the same lines… I tried using cut selected graphics and saved the gcode, then tried the other layer… they were different…
Looks like you can do it either of two ways… set the layer to ‘no output’ or just use the ‘cut selected graphics’ option… might be aware of the ‘use selection origin’ option.
That solution will work for me! Thanks
Which solution?
