Can you split a project up into several burns - if the project is too big

I need to cut a project sized 100 cm X 50 cm. Can I do that on my 41x40 cm laser by doing several cuts and then connect them afterwards?

Take a look at this, there is a very good tutorial included, that could well be what you are looking for

Definitely possible. I am often cutting projects larger then the laser ‘bed’.
I have just done these liners for a carry case for drones. overall 505x350
Which were larger than my laser bed of 400x410 also.

I split the file to allow me to do it in 2 separate cuts

Looking closely at the finished product, you can see where I slightly misaligned it when setting up for the second cut.

Thanks, David - looks like a good option if one of the dimensions is within you bed size. Mine cannot though…unless off course the project can go under the frame-legs…I will play a little with it…

Thx John - Did you ever try to cut two separate pieces and then connect them…

No not 2 separate pieces as I wanted a clean finish on top with no joins.

Just did 2 separate cuts.
Cut the first then moved the laser and played with the position of the piece on lightburn until it was lined up, then did the 2nd cut.
