Cannot connect laser to Mac

I recently purchased an AtomStack A5 Pro, and I am having trouble connecting the laser to my Mac. I’m running Monterey 12.4 for the OS, and I have downloaded the CH340 driver. It still does not show up when I run the scan. I think the cord might be the problem, I’m using an adaptor to connect the USB to the Mac. I’m very new to the technology, so any and all help is appreciated! If possible I would like to talk to someone with experience so that I can tackle the problems more quickly, I feel like I take an hour to research each little step. Thanks everyone!
