Cannot switch out of Rotary mode

New to laser cutting, I got the ra2 rotary tool to go with my xtool d1 pro. with a little bit of struggle, I was able to get setup into rotary mode, but now i cannot get out of rotary mode. I have checked the toggle in rotary setup to the off position but still remains in rotary mode. any tips would be much appreciated.
feeling frustrated!

Can you take a full screenshot of LightBurn and a screenshot of the Rotary Setup window?

I don’t see that the rotary is enabled. What are the exact symptoms that you’re reacting to that make you feel that it is?

In the image you can see a green node. That node did not show until I setup into rotary mode. Once i toggled out of rotary mode this green node did not disappear. I opened a flat cut project and when I framed it, the laser keeps slamming into the side rails (limit switch’s off). Maybe its an entirely different issue, but I cannot not get a flat project to frame after being in rotary mode.

I think this is likey the answer.

The green node is not representative of rotary mode. That’s showing your job origin.

Try changing the Start From mode to “Absolute Coords” and try again. Make sure you’ve homed the laser properly beforehand and do not move the laser head by hand ever after homing.

Letting my novice level really show, I do not know the process to home the laser… thank you for the patience.

Many lasers will home on startup but not sure about your machine. Push the “home” button in Laser window and that will do the same thing.

Thank you…problem solved. So I learned the Start From is critical for the type of setup. I homed the machine and selected Absolute Coords, back up and running. Thanks again
