Every time I try to use the ‘Current position’ or ‘User origin’ options, no matter where I am, I always receive the following message:
ALARM:2
G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safely retained. Alarm may be unlocked. (Right-click the ‘Devices’ button to reset the connection)
On or near line 0:

When I had the DIY Kit 20W, I would only be unable to use these options if they didn’t fit within the usable size of the laser engraver. But with this new one, even when I’m at the ‘Home position’, I get these errors.

Do you have other items on the screen off the work area? When I first started, I had the same issue and it drove me nuts until I learned that items off the screen will affect the positioning in those modes. 2 ways to handle this, either delete everything that isn’t on the work area or use the “Cut Selected Graphics” switch AND the “Use Selection Origin” switch. Then check your preview window before sending the job.
If your machine has limit switches and capable of running the Home cycle, I recommend using Absolute Coords as your Start From: setting. Then your laser and Lightburn work areas match.
