Can't do a Calibration

I’m trying to get Lightburn 2.0.04 to do the 9 Point Calibration using the ComMarker Omni X UV laser on a Windows 11 based computer.

I have the 250m lens installed and follow the procedure to do the calibration. The first problem that doesn’t look right to me is that when I do a frame it shows in the corner of the bed and is even off the bed. Picture is attached. This may or may not be a problem. I can change the “size of box to output” and it does resize but not much.

The next issue is that after framing and I push start, the machine will not draw any lines. This is using the preconfigured settings of 300mm/sec, 20% Power, 30 Freq and 200 Q-pulse. I have increased the power all the way to 95% and still nothing. I have checked and have ensured that I’m in focus. I can do a test square in Lightburn and it will run the job no problem.

What am I doing wrong?

I have the same machine and also ran into the same problem. I had to manually calibrate the lens. But currently still having trouble with the scaling.

It’s good to know that I’m not the only one! Thanks

I am still having a scaling issue tho.. The calibrated 200mm box is perfect, but subsequant smaller boxes gets extra small. For example a 150mm box becomes 148mm and a 100mm box becomes 96mm, a 50mm box turns into 44mm

Apparently Lightburn must not be fully compatible with the Omni X 10w machine. Which version of LB are you running? Do you have any scaling or other issues in ComMarker Studio?

I was able to have the calibration mark at 1000 mm/s, 40khz, 40% and 1ns. I used the 75mm lens, had to scale the test grid to 50mm to get the corners to cross, and the wizard returned some absolutely bonkers numbers for the scale. I’ll try later with the 150mm lens and see if rolling back to 2.0.0.2 helps, I’ve tried 2.0.0.4 and the 2.0.0.5 rc

Same issue here running 2.0.04 with a BWM 100w fiber laser. My 300mm lens factory cal is pretty close, but the the frame from the wizard was well outside of 400x400mm

Yeah man, both lightburn and ComMarker studio is giving scaling issue. 200mm reference box is correct but subsequent smaller boxs are all out.
