Cant get lightburn to connect to my falcon 10w laser

i just got the laser and loaded lightburn. I am using a usb a to c cable to connect the laptop to the laser. When i ran the find my laser in lightburn it did not return anything. I used a file from creality to import the device info.
in Lightburn laser menu it has a dropdown to select a com port. I did not have a com to select.

I am running windows 11. i opened the device manager to see what is happening on the com port, but did not find it as an option. I had to use the show hidden option and then did the add legacy hardware, select ports and added standard ports.

the Lightburn app allows me to select the com 3 now, but it does not connect.
I have used a few different usb cables to make sure that was not the issue and tried each of the usb ports on my laptop. still nothing

any idea what I need to do to get connected. I tried creality help desk and they just sent me a video on how to connect and it gives the basic connect steps that I followed.

I have new Creality Falcon-2 40W that appeared to have the same issue with my Windows 11 HP laptop. I went to the Device Manager in windows and added Ports COM and LPT. Next I added a USB FUNCTION CONTROLER (picked the first one in the list) - my laptop rebooted and when I plugged the laser in it worked… This may work for you, I am not a Computer Guy, but my laser is working, and I have done a few tests that all have worked so far.
