Can't get started!

I’m getting very frustrated. I’m sure something like this has already been covered, but I can’t find anything with my particular issues. I’m running on a Fox Alien Masuter 3S CNC machine with the 40W Diode laser. I set the machine up no problem, set the work area ok, but this is where the issues begin.
My console tab is running continuously, where as every video I’ve seen, it gives some information then stops. The tab for “show all” is off, so I would have thought it wouldn’t be giving so much, but it still is. Just constant information about being idle etc.
My next and biggest issue is, I can home the machine and it moves to the front left of the machine, no problem. However, the coordinates seem to be reversed. I just can’t it to show X 0 Y 0 or anything of the sort to the front left of the machine, this makes any burning very difficult because I put a shape on the worksheet, then the laser moves itself to the complete opposite end. I’ve rehomed it, changed to absolute coordinates that I’ve seen people say is the issue, but nothing works. I finally just got the position of the laser where i wanted it, framed it and it ran across the material fine, then clicked to start, it just lifted the Z axis right up and didn’t do anything.
I feel like I need a degree in coding just to understand anything that is said regarding any issues on this programme, is there any simple instructions on setting up and using a CNC based system. Please, I really need some guidance

That may be normal for your particular controller board. If you have okay Jog control, I would not worry about it.

This is an easy fix.

  1. See if turning on the CNC Machine switch in the Device Settings window makes you happy,
  2. If not, Home the machine and paste the X, Y, and Z readings from the Move window. We can then offer a command that should do the trick.

There should have been an error message somewhere. Do you have Relative Z-moves only turned on?

Probably not because there are so many different ones out there. However, you will find this Forum superb in trying to solve other people’s problems.

I know you may feel overwhelmed, but you are on a learning curve. Just hang in there and you will soon lose the stressed feeling.

You might take a look here to get some background about the starting positions etc.:
