Can't open- says may not have appropriate permissions?

I’ve been using Lightburn for a few months now but now it wont allow me to open it. I get a warning i may not have proper permissions. Can anyone help? Like I’m a 3rd grader please? :slight_smile:

Please don’t be so shy and tell us more details:

  • which operating system do you use
  • what were the last steps you made (some update? some system changes?)
  • what exactly says this error message? (operating system or the LightBurn application)
  • everything, whatever else, which may cause this situation

OK. I’m using windows 10.
I haven’t made any system changes.
There might have been a windows update since I last used. IDK
Error says: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

As you can read here in this URL, there can be more reasons, why you get this error. There are some solutions for specific situations. Anyway, it looks like it’s OS (windows) issue, not the LightBurn. (I’m just a user like you, but using Linux version, so maybe authors will bring some new, fresh and another look)
