Does anyone here have any experience etching on cardboard coasters, like the ones at bars? I’ve been trying, but I just can’t seem to get the settings right. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have had great success doing this with a ‘15w’ LED laser on a 3018 GRBL machine at 5% power in image mode. Do a test with 1 coaster and different power levels to check. I put a piece of plywood on the bottom and burned a square outline for the coaster to sit in to make it burn on the center.

Those look like cork, I believe Roseann mentioned “cardboard” which I take to mean thick paperboard. Likely to burn differently.

Yes, these are cork, I missed the cardboard callout, but I’m sure it would be a similar power. I will try to find a cardboard one and give it a shot. If someone sends me one, I will give it a “power density” test.
Patrick, you forgot to mention how good they look! xD

It would help if you posted a photo of what you have and describe what you want.
Doesn’t give us much to go on…
If the need is for the paper type coasters used in bars, then I would suggest a water spray bottle at hand, and good air assist when finding a good speed/power. Those can tend to catch fire easily!
