Change material library with laser?

I hope I’m not missing something fundamental here, but is it possible to have the library automatically changed based on the laser your working with? I have a fiber with 4 lenses, a co2 and a diode. each obviously needing very different material settings. i have forgot to change the library several times and caused issues, it seems it would make sense for the library to automatically change based on the laser selected.

Which version are you using? If you’re using the lastest version of LightBurn, when you change lasers, the material library should be automatilcally changing.

I believe this might work based on my understanding but not necessarily exactly as you’ve described. I haven’t tried this but here’s what I think has to happen: You need to have separate material libraries for each laser. I’d suggest just copying your existing library to one with a different name. Yes. LightBurn now saves a few of the device-specific information, which is restored when you select that profile. This allows for autoloading a unique Material Library per device profile. One for a 10w Diode, and a different library for a 80w CO2 laser system for example.

Thanks guys, I’ll do some more testing! Maybe I’m screwing something up on my end!
