Hi
I have switched from diode to co2. I have many projects saved where the settings are mm/min for the diode. When I open these in the new c02 laser the speeds are still in mm/min . Is there a way to change the settings when reopening in the co2 version.
Not sure you understand issue.
My c02 is set up as mm/sec. I have projects saved from when I had diode laser mm/min. When I open these saved projects in my c02 profile the line settings still show as mm/min. How do I alter to mm/sec for c02
What version of LightBurn are you running? Versions earlier than 1.1.00 did not save the units settings to device profiles, so if you’re switching between a diode and CO2 profile in a version earlier than that, it could be the explanation for what you’re seeing.
I have never heard this behavior reported before. Please do the following - in your CO2 profile, create a new shape/layer with arbitrary settings, and verify that you have units set to mm/sec in your Settings window, and that they are displaying properly in the Cuts/Layers window.
Next open an older project saved from a diode profile. Do the units displayed switch automatically at this point? If you go into your LightBurn settings, is mm/min now selected, instead of mm/sec?
Please send us a few screenshots of this process as you go through it - one of your Cuts/Layers window and Settings window with the new layer/shape, and another of the Cuts/Layers window and Settings window after you’ve loaded a project saved from your diode profile.
Hi
I started doing what you asked then when I started opening old files they did change to mm/sec, this is very weird because they definitely did not do that before. Very strange
Thanks for your time ,
