Change x axis speed for ortur laser master pro 2

I bought the quick adjustment for the laser master pro 2, and it told me I needed to adjust the x-axis maximum speed. I cannot find it in the lightburn software.

Is this what you bought?

Where did you see that you needed to change x-axis maximum speed? Can you show specific language? Was a value indicated?

yes, this is,
IMG_2625

it says reccomends x-axis acceleration to be 1800-2000 mm/sec^2 and $262 at 280

got the $ number wrong in the original post

Okay. I can’t see the exact values or the configurations they are specifying but the equivalent of the laserGRBL screen would be found in Edit->Machine Settings. Might be in a different menu on Mac but should be there.

Make sure you’re changing the proper parameter. You can tell by the $[number] as they are distinct.

I suggest you make a backup of your configuration before you make these changes. You need to be connected to your machine for you to be able to read the current settings and write the new settings as it is saved to your machine, not to LightBurn.

thank you, i found the settings. I had to go into the console to change the $262 setting to 280, the setting was at 350 in the console window

Great. Just as a note. Not sure if it’s documented in that instruction guide but $262 is an Ortur specific setting meant to control the shock and motion sensitivity level. The new default is now 400 so it’s likely you’re not on the latest firmware.

Ortur recommends updating to latest but if things are working for you it’s probably not critical. If you do upgrade you’d have to reapply your configuration updates.

how do i update to the latest firmware?

Check our Ortur’s firmware site. You need to be very careful as you look through the site as it’s a little confusing. But confirm you are looking at the right laser model and series.

They have very specific instructions for how to perform the upgrade. Follow them exactly or you may end up having a bad time. If you’re not sure about something better to ask then to just guess as it may leave you with a non-functional laser.
