I changed my internet provider (rhymes with rectum) to TMobile. Previous provider had a router which I ran an ethernet cable to my laser.
TMobile doesn’t use/need a router. The device/box (G5 thru the air waves) doesn’t use a cable connection, therefore no router. The box has two ethernet connections. One goes to my computer. I tried connecting my laser to the other port but cannot make a connection to the laser. Suggestions?
Somebody please help.

If you’ve still got the old router you could keep using it as a switch. There might be a setting telling it to enter switch mode, or it might just be happy being a switch as it is, depending on the manufacturer.
Alternatively, you could buy a cheap ethernet switch and plug it in where the router used to be.
Finally, if the patch cable isn’t working you might need a crossover ethernet cable to connect the laser and computer directly. These cables have crossed wiring to connect endpoints directly.
Just figured this one out all by my lonesome. Reconnected my router thru the TMobile box and my laser came back to life.
Sorry to trouble y’all.
You see, I live out in the stix and when you only one internet provider they tend to take advantage.
I am very grateful for the change of venue.
