I have a 1390 130 watt using LightBurn. I changed out My RDC6442S-B controller and a switching power supply. It’s parked in the upper left corner as before, but when I turn it on, or try and move it, it “hammers” there in the corner until I hit escape or reset. Do I need to reload the LightBurn software?
I would double check the limit switch wiring. With the info provided it doesn’t seem to be seeing them.
Lightburn has nothing to do with it’s boot or ‘home’ process. Reloading it would be of no use.
@micrololin is on the right track, we think it’s not homing properly.
Did you copy your Ruida controller information from the original and restore it on the ‘new’ one?
If you have NO limits compared to NC it won’t home, but I don’t think it will crash as long as it is not ‘on’ the limit when you power it up. This could be an issue for NC compared to NO.
So I’d double check the wiring of the LmtX-, LmtY-.
I can’t seem to find the file. Would you happen to have a file you could email me? sgsirrine@yahoo.com?
And thank you for responding!
Thanks, I’ll check that.
Don’t post your email… Not a good practice. We can get something to you if need be.
The ‘file’ is different for each manufacturers configuration.
Is it feasible for you to hook up the old controller, and get it to talk to your pc? You might be able to read the data.
You should always save a configuration of the machine. Never know when you will loose a controller or something.
Fixed it. Reloaded RD Works and reset al the parameters. Works great now. Going back to LightBurn. So much better!
