Changing tab depth?

Hi friends. I feel I am almost there but can’t figure this out after watching countless videos. :grinning: :grinning:

I downloaded a file from etsy and it has a ton of tabs and slots that are designed for 3mm wood. I have 2.6 mm wood and have changed the slot width for all pieces except the sides. In the screen shot the slot depth circled is 3MM and I need them to be 2.6MM. Is there a way to simply manually change the length to 2.6mm? I have already gone into node editing mode and do not see extra segments. The lines are all solid if that makes sense. screen shot of slots and tabs editing window

You are trying to change slots on an edge that has tabs, if you visualize a line from corner to and they protrude past the line they are tabs if they are below ( into panel ) they are slots.

I think I understand that but how can I change the depth to 2.6?

3rd option, Tab height

I used that option for the top of this piece which is identical to the bottom. The top part resized fine, but the bottom part is not resizing the segments that I highlighted. I select tab height and nothing on the bottom is in red. When I select slot depth the image that I linked is what I see. The corner segments do not highlight in red. It’s like the bottom of the image tabs do not identify as tabs.

I found my issue. Seems there were nodes that I could only see if I zoomed in at max range. I am attaching the image in case some other newbie runs into this. I deleted the node to the right and the slots resize now. Thank you for taking the time to help me. The more I dig the more I have learn.

It’s always good to run the shape optimizer tool before trying to use the tab resizer. It helps removing those nodes.

This is exactly what I needed! Thanks!

This is the video I watched that explained that pretty well.
