Red & black chinese 80 watt. How thick is this machine capable of cutting lexan without running it at 100% power. want to keep around 80% at the highest, not at all times but just highest i want run this machine.

Lexan will NOT cut safely with a laser, Well it will but be a black ugly mess and it gives off toxic fumes,
Acrylic is good but not Poly-carbonates (lexan and other brands), Never cut anything that contains PVC a good test is called the flame test Please google that to understand what information it provides
I cut 2mm PC with 40W co2 with ease. like 15mms at full power / 15mA.
power equal to that of cutting 2mm Acrylic. i don’t cut much of this stuff but only for some of my designs for maritime use which must not be brittle as Acrylic. i have to tape it with masking tape before cutting and i use good fume extraction system and air assist. this stuff produces ugly yellow fume and soot.
