Choosing Materials

I ask for help in choosing materials:

I would like to engrave text (approx. 6 mm high) onto a transparent plastic film (approx. 0.6 mm thick) and cut out the result with a frame.

I use Atomstack X 24 Pro.

Which plastic is recommended for this purpose? What ranges should the parameters for engraving and cutting be?

Thanks!

As far as I know, it is difficult to cut into clear material (acrylic) with a diode laser, due to its wave length. I didn’t succeed for my 5.5 watt diode laser.

For informational purpose, from the folk’s at X-Tool see:

For marking clear or transparent materials with a diode laser, I normally use a black Sanford Expo Dry Erase marker. After the etching, I use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (or Uline Amazing Foam Eraser) to remove the coating. I do not know if these are available in your location, but I am sure you can get them through Amazon.

Thank you very much for pointing me to the interesting website! What I am missing, however, are tips (based on experience) on how I can realise my actual plan. I would be very happy if you could add some.
