Chromebook question on MediaTek Arm based processor

Hi I know people got Lightburn to work on Chromeboook with Intel based processors, has anyone got it work on Arm based? Amazon deal days are on and a good price on a 10" tablet with MediaTek Kompanio 1380. Wondering if @dkj4linux was around to check before buying. I saw a thread someone had it working on a linux arm based laptop without issue.

I am comfortable with Linux, just havent used it in awhile and this device would be perfect going back and forth to the shop.

Be careful the new versions of Lightburn are not compatible with Linux, on the other hand you can very well do a dual boot, there is a light version of windows the tiny 11 version..

I’ve only got Intel-based Chromebooks and have had great success with them in Developer mode… they are Debian Linux underneath. I use them daily to run Lightburn, PrusaSlicer, etc. I’ve not tried it with an Arm-based Chromebook. I have however installed Raspberry Pi OS (Debian) on a Raspberry Pi 4 (they are ARM-based) and installed and run Lightburn to connect and control a Roly Lasermatic laser engraver. It doesn’t drop connection in the middle of a laser job the way my laptop often does. I use VNC to access and control the RaspberryPi4 wirelessly across wifi.

Lightburn versions up to 1.7.06 will run on Linux.
